First all to all those who are engaged to be married in the past few weeks.. CONGRATULATION...  wishing you Happy Planning.. Fabulous Day.. n a Blissful Marriage..xo

Not on the list of getting married nor engaged, that has not blinded me to wedding fashion and so far i have woohoo...haaaaa...n oh ok.. and i was looking forward to what NZ Designers had to offer for this fashion week... To be honest i wasn't blown away and i had more ' oh ok' moment than wow moment..

it was a combination show of everything, starting from the Bride Gowns,  to Grooms n the adorable lil bridesmaid n her groomsmen. There were eight collections, one for grooms and one for bridal party. Apart from those two exceptions, i was only impressed by some from three designers collections of bride gowns, i understand the uniqueness of fashion and the emphasis of creating something different 'avant garde' but there comes a time when you take a step back and considered the surrounding of your aim before making the final decisions. watching the show twice i saw the designer aim but execution left it on the runway, there was a lot of mixture of retro n classic, sexy n trashy n lots more. The combination was a good idea because am sure a bride who loves retro looks will try to execute that and at the same time want to sexy, classic and completely Elegant.. i cant rant on further about my not loving it but i still stand by my statement about owing your fashion or design so therefore brides who go for those looks am sure you will definitely look Fab...

I loved some of the designs from Sara Ling, Alma Wong and Anna Schimmel, they had a lot of classic looks; off shoulders, v neck, short sleeves, backless etc.. what i loved most was the way they were able to incorporate the fluffy fish tail look and the train without making the gowns look overcrowded. Job well done.

I also like the Grooms Suits n tuxedo by Crane Brothers, my favorite was the Tuxedo combined with gray. i liked the influence of a lil colour mixture  but still very Manly...hmmn...

I invite everyone on the marriage list to watch the Runway for pointers and the Rest of US  for the fun of it... it is quite entertaining.. Also below a preview of Vera Wang Spring Show 2012... Enjoy

Ps: My  'Oh Ok' means i don't get it.. in fashion world..

Stay Fab...xo Delol'
